InfluxWelcome to Brenin Books, the web site of SF author J.C. Jones

J.C. Jones grew up in North Wales and resides in Brisbane, Australia with his wife and son. He has worked in a variety of technical roles in Information Technology for British, American and Australian companies. He has a passion for SF, astronomy, science and technology, and as many gadgets as he can get his hands on.

Winner of the 2003 AntiSF Award, his speculative fiction has appeared in Visions Magazine, Ragged Edge, Writer's Nook and Reader's Corner, AntipodeanSF and Another Realm .

Influx, available through Silver Lake Publishing, is his first novel. In May/June 2005, Influx was Fictionwise's #1 best-selling Science Fiction book, toppling Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy off the top spot. One of his short stories, "Interstellar Brothers " appears in the Whortleberry Press anthology "Cybertales-Live Wire."

Currently working on his latest manuscript (working title "Liquid"), he hopes to have it completed in the coming months. Liquid is a lot more of an action/thriller than out-and-out Science Fiction, and promises thrills, spills, espionage and plenty of action. Check out the excerpt from this work in progress on the "Liquid " page.
